Transactive Energy

Post Road is leading a U.S. Department of Energy funded project to evaluate the ability of transactive energy (TE) – a novel smart grid technology enabled by reliable, high-speed internet access – to meet the present and future energy and electric grid needs of low-income rural and urban communities across the U.S. In collaboration with the GisMo group at SLAC (a U.S. Department of Energy lab based at Stanford University), New Hampshire Electric Cooperative, Efficiency Maine Trust and other organizations supporting Post Road’s charitable and educational goals, this multi-year project will deploy and monitor TE systems across three communities in Maine and New Hampshire.
