Michigan State University: Broadband access at home demonstrated to increase student performance and college attendance plans

The quello center at Michigan State University recently completed a comparative study of performance and college attendance plans for Michigan middle school and high school students. Their study, which corrected for socio-economic and other factors, found that students with broadband at home had a 12% higher GPA than their peers without broadband. Similarly, high school seniors with broadband at home were 38% more likely to plan to attend a post-secondary educational institution.
