This white paper summarizes Post Road Foundation’s transactive energy project in New England, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. In this project, the project team, including the GisMo group at SLAC, Knowledge Problem LLC, New Hampshire Electric Coop and Efficiency Maine Trust, will evaluate a new Prices-from-Devices Transactive Energy architecture, called TESS, which provides significant advantages over conventional command-and-control and other types of DER coordination. Project completion is expected by December 2027.
